The Carrot Blog

Moving back to New York City was probably one of the best decisions I've made this year. Before Carrot, I was a Fellow for AOL's automotive brand Autoblog. My experience at AOL was a great learning experience; I had the opportunity to work with a group of people who were just as passionate about cars as I was. At AOL, I handled the social media accounts for Autoblog and AOL Autos and assisted with analytics. At the end of my program, I began my job search. I really enjoyed working in social media and wanted to continue in that field. Carrot Creative had been on my radar for the past two years, so I was excited when I saw the Jr. Community Manager position available. After reading the job description, I knew that it was the right position for me; it was exactly what I had been looking for to begin my career and grow as a professional.

I loved the application process for Carrot because it was so simple and creative. My phone interview with Nina was unlike any interview I've ever had. She really wanted to get to know me as a person, aside from what was listed on my resume. Then, my in-person interview was more of a conversation than an ordinary interview. I walked away feeling impressed. When I was offered the position, I didn't have to think twice about accepting because I knew this was the perfect place for me.

After four weeks, I can say that choosing to work at Carrot was the second best decision I've made, after getting myself here in the first place. One thing I really love about Carrot is the culture. I feel more comfortable at Carrot than I have at any other workplace. When you’re happy to get up in the morning and go to work, you know you work someplace special. I'm glad that I get to begin my career here and get to work with amazing people. I must say, many of my friends are jealous about where I work!
