The Blog Post Comment Girlby Rianna
Carrot Creative is a growing company. That means that everyone here has enough work to do without worrying about scheduling meetings, ordering the company Thanksgiving dinner and playing fetch with Jonas. They are even too busy to write a welcome note for me! Enter the Executive Assistant, AKA: me! I will be doing all of these things and more for the Carrot Crew and am pretty darn excited!
A little about me: I am new to the city of New York and have made a cozy home here in Brooklyn. Raised in Raleigh, North Carolina and a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, I'm a Tar-Heel bred and have some concerns over a certain blue devil grad within the ranks of the Carrot Crew.
What I bring to the (glass) table:
- Southern Charm. I say "ya'll" and to me hushpuppies are a food, not a shoe brand.
- Excitement. I have been following (read: stalking) Carrot for some time now and am expecting to wake up any time now from this fantastic dream. You can read more about how everything went down on my personal blog: Little Duck, Big City. Though, the most important thing about me is my ability to write my own job description.
As of now, and hopefully the rest of my employment, I have no formal document outlining my responsibilities. While some people I have talked to find this frustrating or scary, all I see is a challenge worth meeting. Not having a job description means that nothing actually falls outside of my responsibilities, which gives me the unique opportunity to explore every aspect of Carrot and really be useful. I'm not sure where I will end up within Carrot, or in the grander scheme of things, but wherever it is, I know I'm on the right track.
